Paris Symposium on Denial of Asylum Requests From The Church of Almighty God Christians

Introduction:

On March 9 of 2018, the Coordination of Associations and Individuals for Freedom of Conscience (CAP LC) organized a special event in Hôtel Château Frontenac in             Paris, France. In the event, the denied asylum requests of the members of                             The Church of Almighty God were discussed as well as the risk of deportation at any time that some Church members are facing after receiving the removal orders. An appeal was also made to the French government for the protection of the human rights of The Church of Almighty God Christians. Professor Massimo Introvigne, a well-known Italian Scholar of new religious movements and Managing Director of CESNUR (Center for Studies on New Religions); Mr. Willy Fautré, Executive Director of HRWF (Human Rights Without Frontiers); Ms. Marie Holzman, French Sinologist and President of the Association Solidarité Chine (Solidarity with China); and Mr. Eric Roux, the President of EIFRF (European Interreligious Forum for Religion Freedom) were all in attendance and delivered speeches. During the event, the organizer played a video of the testimonies of two Church members who suffered persecution at the hands of the authorities of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Those in attendance were moved to tears.

Eastern Lightning, The Church of Almighty God was created because of the appearance and work of Almighty God, the second coming of the Lord Jesus, Christ of the last days. It is made up of all those who accept Almighty God’s work in the last days and are conquered and saved by His words. It was entirely founded by Almighty God personally and is led by Him as the Shepherd. It was definitely not created by a person. Christ is the truth, the way, and the life. God’s sheep hear God’s voice. As long as you read the words of Almighty God, you will see God has appeared.

The Chinese Communist Party Uses “Cult” as a Pretext to Persecute Religious Beliefs | What’s a Cult?

Since the Chinese Communist Party took power, it has been frantically suppressing religious beliefs. The Chinese Communist Party’s religious policy and China’s human rights conditions have been roundly denounced by democratic countries and international human rights organizations. China’s definition of “cult” and its use of cult as a pretext to attack religious beliefs have particularly drawn serious doubts and criticisms of the international community. The guests in this episode are Professor Massimo Introvigne, founder and director of the Center for Studies on New Religions in Italy and Professor Holly Folk from the University of Western Washington of the United States. They have an in-depth discussion and exchange of views on the CCP’s definition of “cult” and on the issue of the CCP’s condemnation of The Church of Almighty God under the pretext of cult. So, how do the professors look at the CCP’s use of cult as a pretext to suppress and persecute religious beliefs? Please have a look!

Christians of The Church of Almighty God Will Be Brutally Persecuted by the CCP Once Repatriated

On January 4, 2018, according to the U.S. State Department, pursuant to the 1998 International Religious Freedom Act, China is re-designated as a “Country of Particular Concern.” This is the nineteenth consecutive year that China is included in the “Country of Particular Concern” list. At the same time, when the freedom of religious belief in China draws great attention of the U.S. government, the asylum applications of many Christians of The Church of Almighty God who had been persecuted by the CCP, and who had fled abroad to South Korea and European countries, are denied again and again. These governments even issued orders for their deportation and had their Alien Registration Cards withdrawn. Once repatriated to China, these Christians are bound to face the CCP’s arrest, torture and imprisonment, even the danger of death. Their situations are critical!
